On the southernmost point of Arvera stands The Lighthouse. This magnificent structure of white marble is one of the most famous sights in Arvera. It was commissioned by King Wiljam the Conqueror, and it is claimed that the light at the top of its tower has never gone out. The Lighthouse staff is composed entirely of retired Justices, who keep the flame of The Lighthouse alight, maintain the historical building attached to it, and offer tours to visitors. The Head Lighthouse Keeper is a coveted position, and whoever wields the Cane of Office is responsible for the care of The Lighthouse and its staff and subject only to the authority of the Ruler of Arvera.
